A team of junior Danish footballers is currently winging its way from Copenhagen to Melbourne via Singapore for the fourth triennial Junior Vikings tour of Australia. Previously held in 2000, 2003 and 2006, the 2009 has a true national flavour to it. Normally consisting of boys from Farum only, this time, although still organized by the Farum Cats, the team includes three youngsters from the Slagslunde Tigers. The tour lasts three weeks, takes in games against schools in Melbourne, Geelong and Hamilton, and includes an appearrance as the Little League game at half time of the Geelong v Brisbane game at Skilled Stadium in Round 5. |
