It's been a long time between drinks, but in the last few weeks a new team has been established in Denmark and even played its first home game. The town of Randers, about 40 kms north of Århus, has has a sprinkling of players playing for Aalborg, Århus and the combined Jutland team over the years. Finally enough interest and enthusiasm has surfaced for the town to establish a team of its own. Along with the introduction of Randers, a new Jutland 9s local league has been started involving Århus and Aalborg. With three independent teams, this is the first chance DAFL has had to see a genuine local competition in Jutland. DAFL is also looking at having one of Jutland's home games in the Premier League this year played in Randers. Scores in the Jutland Local League will hopefully find their way soon on to the Footy Record at this link. |
